PlanetART, organized by the EU-funded projects GenB and BlueMissionMed, raises public awareness on the green and blue circular economy. The stand is divided into: 1) Green economy: playful program to involve young people on the bioeconomy. Games, workshops, escape rooms, reading of the book "What’s Bioeconomy?" and exhibition of bio-based products. The stand hosts artworks by artists who use residues and biomaterials. 2) Blue economy: the public can interact with the cardboard wall "Our blue treasure", to express their connection with the sea and discover how to mitigate the pollution of seas and waters. The stand features artworks by artists who use recycled plastic collected from the sea.

ROVRDUINO

ROVRDUINO is a small rover platform powered by an ATmega328 microcontroller. Much like the Arduino UNO, the ROVRDUINO has a "REV3" style footprint with the same headers capable of using existing Arduino shields and modules. This little robot features a variety of onboard sensors and can be programmed using the Arduino IDE. Because ROVRDUINO is intended to be a DIY kit, it can be easily soldered and assembled in just a single afternoon. While the ROVRDUINO doesn't require any advanced knowledge of electronics or microcontrollers, it can be modded and upgraded with all kinds of innovative ideas.

Smithie Art Club

The Smithie Art Club is a free after school program for 6th-12th grade students in Green Local Schools in Smithville, Ohio. The club, which currently has roughly 50 members is funded through fundraising, grants, and donation and has expanded over recent years to include a variety of art-related technology and machines. The club will be demonstrating their ceramic 3D printer which prints stoneware clay as well displaying their new mobile glassblowing furnace, which they will be using this fall to create blown glass artwork. Previous projects created by the club will also be on display. Come check out the only ceramic printer and glass furnace in Wayne County!

Otto Cardy, a low-cost walking cardboard robot that can be built and programmed using the videos and manual instructions. The instructions are designed to be easy to follow and do not require any special knowledge of electronics. Otto Cardy is a remake of the international Open Source project OttoDIY, using Google's Blockly for the Arduino. With micro:bit, Otto Cardy uses Microsoft MakeCode. The project aims to introduce primary and secondary school students to the world of coding and robot programming in a fun way, while also serving as an example of creative robotics. It's great to see initiatives like this that make technology more accessible and engaging for young learners. Otto Cardy can be built using both Arduino Nano and micro:bit.
