Vicky Somma
Vicky Somma is the author of "Blender 3D Printing by Example" and teaches classes on TinkerCAD, OpenSCAD, Blender, Cura, and 3D Printing. She serves on the board of 3DPrintopia (formerly known as the East Coast RepRap Festival). Since learning 3D modeling in 2014, Vicky’s 3D Printed Ornaments have hung in the White House and Virginia’s Executive Mansion. Vicky's work has appeared on NBC's Today Show, CBSNews, 3DPrint.com, 3DPrintingIndustry.com, 3Ders.org, CNet.com, the Washington Post, Michelle Obama's Instagram, and the Hallmark movie "The Gift of Peace".

Kurt Vonnegut, Jr. is my favorite author and one of the first things I discovered I had in common with my husband. I have been wanting to do a Vonnegut project for a while (in fact the early ideas of my 2019 Needlepoint Stained Glass project was Vonnegut-related before I went with the Great Blue Heron instead). This year the idea resurfaced looking at the surplus of filament poop in my workspace. I believe filament poop will be a good way to capture Vonnegut's curly hair.
