The initial project was inspired by seeing so many friends who felt disconnected, that they could not impact their surroundings, and were generally unhappy existing in spaces. I wanted to bring them joy and set up an environment where they could experience the impact they have just by existing. I used music and motion because, as a dancer and musician, this is one of the ways I myself feel most connected with others. The first version of this project was my thesis project for my graduate program. The interactions I witnessed and the joy participants could find inspired me to continue on. This would be the 6th iteration – each iteration has code changes tailored towards encouraging movement in the given space. I'm also iterating upon the sounds and experience based off of feedback I get and what I observe with each iteration. I aim to change the sounds and what movement can do with this iteration.
