MyEasyCarbon: the future of sustainable agriculture

MyEasyCarbon is the first Label Bas Carbone certified tool capable of assessing the sustainability of agricultural businesses by calculating the balance between emissions and carbon storage in the soil. The advantage of using MyEasyCarbon lies on its interoperability, its ease of use and speed of analysis. The combined use of MyEasyFarm and MyEasyCarbon allows for the integration of data from agricultural machinery into the carbon calculation, making the final calculation more realistic and transparent, and providing more reliable data regarding Scope 3 emissions in the agri-food supply chain.

Peninsula Precious Plastics

Our primary activities will be sorting and cleaning of collected plastic (specifically HDPE), shredding the plastic and then using Precious Plastic equipment (injection or compression moulds) to make objects participants can walk away with. We will also offer a plastic bag crafting project where participants can use simple tools to make sturdy bags and wallets from plastic bags. Participants will learn about the global Precious Plastic community and how they can participate at home or start a group of their own. Each weekend we will host a local artist or entrepreneur who is using these same processes and equipment to create products from waste plastics.

3D-Printed Electric Marble Mazes

We have a variety of battery-powered 3D printed marble machines that we'd like to exhibit. Each model is 3D printed using PLA plastic on consumer FDM printers. This takes anywhere from six to fifteen hours, depending on each model's size and complexity. A model is made from two to seven PLA parts, which are inspected and cleaned of any residual plastic that's a byproduct of the printing process. (None of the models require support material, which simplifies the cleaning process). Once the PLA parts are prepared they, along with the electric parts are assembled into complete models. There's no painting — the plastic is the color it appears. The models are designed in Blender. They use a variety of different mechanisms to lift the marbles.

The project proposes an innovative interaction between physical and virtual reality using Weart's touchDIVER and the Oculus Rift S visor. The operator uses the touchDIVER and the visor to immerse himself in the virtual environment. A robotic hand replicates the movements of the physical hand, allowing interaction with virtual objects, including a CT-reconstructed abdominal section. The touchDIVER provides haptic feedback of force, temperature and texture. The aim is to offer an innovative medical simulation experience for surgeons, doctors and students, facilitating practice and learning.

Seguindo-se de uma componente prática onde os participantes terão a oportunidade de testar a pulseira de aquisição de sinais fisiológicos e de ver os seus próprios dados em tempo real. Será também introduzido o processamento dos sinais usando a linguagem de programação Python.

A remote-controlled rose, an integral part of the 'Frantumi' performance by Mizar Tagliavini. This rose illuminates during the show thanks to a NodeMCU and a neopixel matrix. Additionally, it uses micro wireless LEDs as an alternative light source and harnesses a magnetic field generated by an invisible copper coil. The aim is to unite art and science, demonstrating the interdependence between creativity and innovation. We hope to inspire people and bring them closer to theater through science, as well as introduce them to technology through a love for the theater
