One-servo Robot ❖ Demo & Contest
Home: California, United States
One-Servo Robot • Demo & Contest Meet Ducky, our humble prototype designed to explore the bare minimum requirements for robot locomotion. With just a single servo, a microcontroller, and modular parts for customization, it embodies simplicity and functionality. We believe this minimalistic approach is key to the vision of low-cost and low-maintenance robots that can perform simple tasks, complementing their more sophisticated counterparts. Join us at our exhibition to see our progress. Also, experience the fun racing and fighting contests to help crowdsource the best configurations. We will provide the crafting materials. It's a unique opportunity to be a part of our vision and contribute to the future of affordable robots!

The inspiration for my One-Servo Robot project began with a simple question: how minimalistic can a robot be while still meeting the basic requirements for movement and interaction? Answering this question could pave the way for designing an affordable and durable robotic companion, leveraging fewer moving parts for increased reliability and reduced cost. After watching numerous videos online, I found that none of the existing solutions felt playful or suitable for productization. This realization led me to embark on my own journey of exploration and innovation, building my version of a one-servo robot. Plus, it's always fun to have friendly competition with the family!
